We exist to see the city of Coventry Flourish

We love our city.

It is a place that has an incredible history, and is known as a place of reconciliation. We long to join in that story; equipping everyone at St Marks to make a difference in the lives of people around them and supporting various missional organisations that work in the city of Coventry.

We also love the international work of many Christian charities and organisations. We want to join in the incredible work that happens in our city and across the globe.

In playing our part, we give 10% of our annual income to a variety of different mission partners and we would love you to know a bit more about them.

EMBRACE

Embrace supports female on-street sex workers in Coventry. They come along women, many of whom are struggling with life controlling issues and who are disadvantaged by past and present circumstances. They seek to hear, respect, pray, empower and work with them towards a better future. They go out on regular outreach, offering food, drink, hygiene products conversation and support.

They are an openly Christian organisation and aim to walk with those in the same way that Jesus walks, demonstrating the consistent, unchanging Love and Hope that we have found in Him.

CARRIERS OF HOPE

Carriers of Hope are a charity that seeks to make Coventry a place where Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Migrant Families are welcomed and inspired to rebuild their lives for a better future.

They have multiple projects, from care packages, food distribution, furniture projects, bike and transport projects, supplying clothing, to a project that runs out of our building: the World Foods Food Hub.

Join us on a Wednesday to see the church run as a social supermarket. It is filled with various fresh and frozen food products that people can have access to for a massively reduced subscription.

CHRISTIANS AGAINST POVERTY

CAP’s vision is to see transformed lives, thriving churches and an end to UK poverty.

They have an incredible team based in all four UK nations, and connect with hundreds of incredible churches to deliver services to people in desperate need. Through which people discover life-changing freedom and hope every day.

Since 1996, they have seen tens of thousands of families and individuals break free from debt and poverty.

CORD

CORD are a Covetnry based charity that work internationally to build peace by tackling the issues that lead to violence. This helps to create safe and stable societies where people can flourish.

Millions of people face the threat of violence, being wrongly arrested, or mistreated. Countless communities suffer the impact of conflict which leads to poverty, division, and the denial of human rights.

They work in South-East Asia, Burundi, Laos and Myanmar to promote peace, protect people and their livelihoods.

OPEN DOORS

Open Doors is an charity that seeks to serve the persecuted church across the world.

Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term. In the UK and Ireland, Open Doors helps the church to pray, give and speak out for those who share our faith but not our freedom.
