At St Marks this Christmas season we have a wonderful opportunity to be a blessing as a church community to those in need in our area. We’re going to be coming alongside two of our mission partners, Embrace and Carriers of Hope, in order to provide Bags of Kindness to support their clients this Christmas. And every donation is match-funded by the Love Christmas campaign!
Our Partners
Carriers of Hope
Carriers of Hope are a charity that seeks to make Coventry a place where Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Migrant Families are welcomed and inspired to rebuild their lives for a better future. They have multiple projects, from care packages, food distribution, furniture projects, bike and transport projects, supplying clothing, to a project that runs out of our building: the World Foods Food Hub.
Embrace
Embrace support female on-street sex workers in Coventry. They come alongside women, many of whom are struggling with life-controlling issues and who are disadvantaged by past and present circumstances. They seek to hear, respect, pray, empower and work with them towards a better future. They go out on regular outreach, offering food, drink, hygiene products, conversation and support.
Love Christmas
Love Christmas is a national campaign that encourages and supports churches, businesses, schools and other organisations to work together to promote kindness and connection over anxiety and isolation and reach those that are struggling or alone at Christmas.

How to give to the campaign
Embrace have an Amazon wishlist containing all the items they hope to include in the goodie bags for their clients. If you purchase an item from the list it will be delivered to them. They have asked that such purchases be made by the 4th of December so they have time to sort, pack, and deliver the bags in time for Christmas.
Carriers of Hope are requesting the donation of toys, which can be dropped off here at St Marks. They also have an amazon wishlist, and you can also find a list of suggested items on their website. They have asked that the gifts be dropped off before the 10th of December.

You can also give financially to the campaign by going to the giving page on our website and donating to the fund called “Love Christmas 2025”. If you give in this manner, please Gift Aid your donation if possible, so that your generosity can go that extra mile to helping vulnerable people in our community this Christmas.
