Joint role between Fusion & St Mark’s

Student Leader at St Mark’s Coventry (2 days a week)

Wider Fusion Role (3 days a week)

We are looking for a passionate and committed individual to join both the Fusion Team and the student work at St Mark’s Coventry. This role would be based in Coventry but would involve travel across Warwickshire and the surrounding region.

Coventry is home to more than 50,000 students – from Coventry and Warwick universities, as well as a number of other colleges (e.g. Nexus). There are strong links with research and business, and a high proportion of students are from overseas studying both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. Student numbers are growing, predicted to reach 70,000 by 2022. There is much student accommodation being built across the city, including halls just opposite St Mark’s.

St Mark’s Coventry is part of the HTB network of churches, planted from Gas Street Birmingham in Oct 2017. It has grown quickly, and now attracts around 50 students each Sunday, with a vision to see students find faith, freedom and flourish into all they are meant to be. With applicants to become student interns, a network of student ambassadors, and strong links to both Coventry and Warwick CUs – the ministry is ready to move to the next stage of growth.

Fusion are connected to hundreds of churches the midlands who are seeking to reach, welcome and disciple students in their localities. From red bricks to new universities, single-uni towns to multi-uni cities this is a diverse and pioneering field of ministry.  Fusion’s Team exist to support and equip local church student workers in their ministry and mission, travelling, training and networking practitioners together to see student ministries thrive.

  • Salary: £18,000-£24,000 pro-rata (dependent on experience)

  • Fixed term 12 Month contract (up to 4 years)

Accounts Manager

We are looking for an accounts manager to help us manage and develop our money and financial systems. The successful applicant will work closely with the Operations Director and Treasurer, liaising with all members of the staff team.

The Role

The accounts manager will oversee the day to day financial activity of the organisation, processing grants, gifts and expenditure. The successful applicant will have experience of this work, ideally in a church or charity setting.

This is a part-time role for 8 hours a week. Much work can be done online making home working a possibility, although weekly contact with the church office is required.

  • Part-time role (8hrs week)

  • Salary £20,000 to £22500 pro rota
